SCHÜCO FAÇADE SYSTEMS

Today, modern, sustainable architecture goes far beyond maximum energy efficiency. The most slimline of appearances, the highest quality design and the perfect integration of functional elements together with optimum performance are also included in the features of contemporary aluminium façade systems. Schüco has met these high requirements with a new comprehensive platform concept for aluminium mullion/transom façades – Schüco Façade Systems FWS (Façade Wall System). It offers developers a new dimension of design freedom combined with the best performance characteristics and cost-effective construction.

SCHÜCO FWS 35 PD

SCHÜCO FWS 35 PD

Maximum transparency due to minimal face widths – the new generation of Schüco FWS 35 PD aluminium mullion/transom façade features extremely slender profiles at just 35 mm wide.

SEVERAL TIMES AWARDED

The Schüco FWS 35 PD has already won several design awards such as the Red Dot Award 2018 and the iF Design Award 2018 for Seamless Combination, a combination of sliding and façade systems with panoramic design, the German Design Award 2018 and the iF Design Award in Gold 2017.

PRODUCT BENEFITS

Energy

  • Passive house-certified system with new isolator technology for reliable fabrication:
Ufvalues as low as 0.90 W/(m²K)
  • Two thermal insulation standards: HI and SI isolators available
  • Triple glazing with a glass thickness of up to 50 mm is possible

Design

  • Aluminium façade system solution with extremely narrow face widths of only 35 mm
  • Three drainage levels for maximum design flexibility
  • Schüco AWS windows in different variants can be integrated as insert units
  • Schüco AWS 114 SG.SI façade windows can be used as a slimline, outward-opening, parallel-opening or projected top-hung system

Automation

  • Integration of the Schüco AWS window series with Schüco TipTronic fitting

Security

  • Burglar resistance to RC 2
  • System articles for transferring glass loads of up to 250 kg per transom, up to 400 kg with the Heavy Duty transom

SCHÜCO FWS 50

SCHÜCO FWS 50

Schüco Façade FWS 50 – the logical development of the tried and trusted Schüco Mullion/Transom Façade FW 50⁺. In terms of design freedom and thermal insulation, it offers a wide range of options for the implementation of vertical façades and skylight constructions.

SCHÜCO FAÇADE FWS 50

The Schüco Façade FWS 50 sets new standards in fabrication and energy efficiency. The development of the proven systems concentrated in particular on optimising fabrication in the workshop and on the building site. New, prefabricated system components ensure considerably quicker and therefore more efficient fabrication processes, for example, in the workshop.

The Schüco FWS 50 façade offers architects a rich variety of design options in the standard face widths – including the passive house-certified SI version.

Very heavy panes will be even easier to fabricate in future thanks to the new range of glazing supports – combined with a greater load transfer at the same time.

A new kind of cable guide system immediately guarantees the metal fabricator that the electrical components can be integrated securely into the mullion/transom façade.

PRODUCT BENEFITS

Energy

  • Passive house-certified SI system with new isolator technology: Ufvalues as low as 0.70 W/(m²K)
  • New HI isolator: Ufvalues as low as 0.9 W/(m²K)
  • Complete solutions for the integration of Schüco BIPV systems

Design

  • Integration of diverse insert units:
  • Units from the Schüco AWS, ADS and ASS systems
  • Schüco AWS 114 SG.SI façade windows as outward-opening, parallel-opening or projected top-hung windows
  • Combination with the new Schüco FWS 60 CV ribbon window enables the narrowest profile dimensions for turn/tilt units

Automation

  • New cable guide system for simple, secure installation and commissioning of mechatronic components with an alternating voltage of up to 230 V:
  • Rear cable duct on mullion enables flexible installation of cable guides directly during installation or afterwards
  • Additional components for the safe penetration of attachment areas and panels
  • Integration of Schüco AWS 114 as projected top-hung or parallel-opening windows: large-scale, automated window solutions that are connected to the building management system possible for standard and SHEVS applications
  • Insert outer frame profiles for integration of the Schüco AWS window series with Schüco TipTronic fitting

Security

  • Burglar resistance tested to RC 3 (EU Standards)

Enhanced functions

  • New range of glazing supports for combining maximum weights with very simple fabrication
